We shared with friends and clients Mara Mia 2012 and Mara Mia 2013. the two vintages are very different and unique, because talking about biodynamic wine means hight quality standard and surprises from the nature

Mara Mia biodynamic wine is made entirely from Sangiovese grapes

The biodynamic method:

“Minimize human intervention; stubbornly seek spontaneity because nature knows better than we do. This is the non interventional Biodynamic choice, which we have decided to adopt.

We cultivate the vine according to the lunar and planetary calendar, and in place of fertilizers we treat the land with natural preparations of vegetable and animal origin. The rest is left to the thousands of microorganisms that live in the earth and that keep the earth full of life.

The respect we have for nature also accompanies us in the process of transforming grapes into wine. We don’t take any short cuts: enological synthetic and corrective products are not used and will never be used at Tenuta Mara. We leave it to the earth and the stars to measure the rhythms’. After carefully tasting the wine we bottle only the best”.
